Plan International UK

Role

Creative Direction & Illustration

At the end of end of 2020, Plan International UK, a children’s charity with a particular focus on girls’ rights, launched the #CrimeNotCompliment Campaign in partnership with Our Streets Now, calling on the government to make Public Sexual Harassment a criminal offence and this campaign was met with an incredible reception. The Crime Not Compliment campaign brought together the energy of youth activists with the knowledge and expertise of Plan International’s work on Public Sexual Harassment.

Plan International and Our Streets Now were involved in advocating for the Protection from Sex-based Harassment in Public Act bill. Following agreement by both Houses on the text of the bill it received Royal Assent on 18 September 2023. The bill is now an Act of Parliament (law).
